Health Management

 Healthkicks Team Management Approach

Healthkicks consultants liaise with referring doctors to keep them informed and up to date on patient health progress. This is an important part of all our allied health management programs as good communication with the primary healthcare team ensures that patients are getting the best up to date care available.
The Healthkicks consultant will send regular letters back to the referring doctor informing them of patient progress, statistics and other relevant program information. Healthkicks consultants are also available to discuss patient programs or progress with the referring doctor at any stage should the doctor wish to touch base on the phone.

A Patient's Initial Consultation

After taking the patients' medical history, reviewing the relevant pathology and defining the patient's personal health goals, we conduct a thorough assessment of:
  • Lifestyle
  • Current nutrition status
  • Dietary intake and dietary history
  • Behaviour and attitude towards food
  • Physical Parameters e.g. Body mass and body composition assessment (Fat %, Lean muscle mass, hydration etc)
  • Exercise History, Behaviour and attitude towards exercise
  • Exercise & Fitness Assessment (all parameters)

Treatment Plan

Through the information gathered during the initial consultation and the data collected from the patient's health assessment, body composition and pathology results we are then able to design a treatment management plan that suits the patients health goals, and addresses both the referrers treatment goals and our clinical goals.

Follow-up Appointments

Patients can expect to be provided with ongoing resources, professional support and a timeline for review appointments according to their personal health management plan. The review appointment schedule for a patient will vary according to the complexity of the presenting health condition, however a patient can expect to see their consultants at regular intervals over a 3- 6-month period.
